The Great Park live 09/07/10

A live recording of a concert in Leipzig last month is now available to download for free from the music page here.

This was a fun evening, with a tasty sound in the busy room. I've tried to cut out some of the rubbish I'm speaking inbetween songs, but unfortunately a lot of it remains. Too much perhaps. I believe this was the last in my summer series of drunk, rambling shouty sets - plenty of time to come for more though.

As always, please download and share freely with anyone you think might like it - that's how these things work.

ps - I have sold over half of the initial 100 copies of my latest album in the last week. This isn't making U2 nervous I know - but it is keeping me in emergeny train tickets and guitar strings - so I thank you all kindly.

So, my 10th release on Woodland Recordings 'If You Can Hold It You Can Throw It' is now available to buy from here or as a digitial download in any format at Bandcamp.

9 tracks written and recorded in Berlin between April and August - this features Birdengine and Fee Reega also contributing to the songs.

The initial edition of 100 is numbered, with individually stamped cds, photo, lyrics insert and clippings.

I'll be writing more about it soon, but for now it's enough just to put it to bed for a day or so. I hope you enjoy it.

A couple of free mp3s from last week's small concert at Intersoup Bar in Berlin are available to download now. I'm there every month so sometimes it can be quiet, but it always sounds good enough and it's a great little room. Here's the links:

This was recorded at Soupanova in Berlin - a lovely evening playing after Mary Hampton. Lots of friends in the room too.

Please feel free to download and share with anyone you think might like it.

ALSO

I've started putting complete albums in uncompressed audio up at Bandcamp.com. One can download old albums of mine for free there in better quality, and also buy the latest couple for just £5 each. Been pretty busy, but new material coming soon. In the meantime here's a couple of songs to download for free from the recent concert in Leipzig. One of them is a new thing, more a kind of rough idea for a song. They're both hissy as it gets but there it is.
